Approach
Peter consults with organizations to develop & implement strategic sustainability measures with a focus on facilities (leased & owned). This starts with defining sustainability in the context of mission and vision, then developing a plan for phased implementation that meets budget requirements.
Analyzing historical performance and evaluating current operations must be paired with discussions of future needs. After developing a deep understanding, Peter prepares recommendations that are presented as:
capital projects requiring a formal design process and project management to implement a significant improvement to the facility
operational changes to building systems, space use, and service contracts implemented at low-cost, typically with existing service contractors
Along the way, specific deliverables can be developed including utility benchmarking, GHG emissions inventory (carbon footprint), facilities condition assessment, clean energy study, energy master plan, and strategic facilities plan.
